Soft landing
July 1st 2006 Dold's new IL 9017/300 - 1.5kW and BI 9028.38/900 - 7.5kW, singlephase soft start, soft stop units have been designed to reduce borehole pump starting current and minimise the effects of starting torque and water hammer.
The units are suitable for use with 230Vac motors and have adjustable ramp times and start torque settings. They do not require additional control contactors and use the existing borehole float switches or level sensors. Both units have built-in bypass contactors for 100 per cent running efficiency and low EMC emissions. They reduce motor starting current by 30%. More articles from Dold Industries Ltd: |
