Solenoid valves
November 1st 2005

Available from Asco/Joucomatic, the Asco 256/356 series of direct operated 1/8in solenoid valves are said to be robust, reliable and easy to maintain.

Suitable for a range of fluids and a variety of applications, the valves have brass or stainless steel bodies and cope with demanding applications that require fast operation and frequent use.

The low cost valves are available in 2/2 NC/NO and 3/2 NC/NO/U configurations and offer a service life in excess of 20 million operations, with minimal maintenance required. The valve design incorporates a shock absorber to reduce valve noise and ensure reliable operation.

The company says that reliability is not compromised when the fluid contains particles or sediment because the square section core design reduces friction and helps prevent sticking or blocking.

Different power needs are met by DC or dual frequency AC coils that are available with spade plug or flying lead connections.
