Stainless steel vane pumps
March 1st 2008

Where reliability and durability are high priorities when choosing a pump for transferring corrosive or thin liquids at higher pressures, Viking LVP stainless steel vane pumps from Michael Smith Engineers, offer a solution.

Vanes extend from slots in the pump rotor and these help to sweep liquid through a camshaped cavity. This ensures low slip and high volumetric efficiency at all points on the performance curve, which contributes to longer pump life and low life-cycle cost.

The LVP range covers flow rates to 36m3, pressures to 14bar and handles liquids with viscosities from 0.1 to 500 cSt. Units provide smooth, non-pulsating, low-shear flows and have good suction lift capability.
