Sump pumps head east July 1st 2007 Amarinth has appointed
Abu Dhabi-based Nama
Development Enterprises as
one of its growing number
of agents in the Middle East.
The relationship has
already yielded a $3.5m
order for Amarinth. The
company will supply vertical
sump pumps for use in
pumping carcinogenic
chemicals. Made from
special high alloy to a
bespoke design, these API
pumps are being made to a
deadline of 40 weeks from
order.
The vessels in which the
pumps will operate are
coated with exotic material
and so for cost reasons the
pump had to be designed
to fit into the smallest space
possible. Additional
termination points on the
support plate were required
to cater for other services in
and out of the tank. To
withstand the harsh
environment, pumps had to
be made from hard, exotic
alloys. More articles from Amarinth Limited: |
