Tough control valves
January 1st 2006

Meter control valves have been supplied by Pump Engineering for the controlled addition of corrosion and scale inhibitors on oil rigs.

The valves were Badger RC200 in AISI 316 stainless steel with a stainless steel actuator to resist the aggressive environment.

They combine troublefree operation with minimum maintenance requirements.

The valves are designed for handling liquids and gases under the most arduous conditions and are available as a globe or angle pattern in either 1/4 or 1/2in sizes.

Their compact size and 33 different trim sizes, Cv range from 0.0000018 to 2.5 and rangeability from 50:1 to 15:1 make them suitable for additive injection, sampling and pH control.

The valves can operate at pressures to 5000 psi and temperatures ranging from -80 to 500°C. They are supplied as standard in 316 stainless steel with stainless steel or Stellite trims; alternative materials, such as Monel, Hastelloy B & C, can be specified.
