Vacuum pumps November 1st 2005 Three Busch RC1000B vacuum pumps have been supplied to Skretting of Invergordon, a company that produces fish feed pellets.
The manufacturing process requires the pellets to be coated with fish oil. A vacuum impregnation process is then used to achieve the correct amount of absorption. Skretting believed vacuum pumps used in the coating process was an area where savings could be made.
The vacuum pump used in this application is described as having proven rotary vane technology and can pump high quantities of water vapour. The vane technology is integral to Busch's design, as are other features of the pump that result in an easy-tomaintain design and a competitive life cycle cost.
Various models are offered with ultimate pressures from 3 to 1600m3/h nominal displacement. More articles from Busch (UK) Ltd: |
