VALVES KEEP LINES IN FULL FLOW
November 1st 2004

Ensuring full, uninterrupted flow in process lines can be difficult, especially where powders and granulars are being handled. Valves can become caked or clogged.

Milton Roy UK‘s range of automatic pinch valves help to eliminate such problems.

They are designed to provide a complete seal, without the need for glands, and ensure a full flow within the process line. Problems of pressure drop are said to be avoided, even when viscous or paste-like liquids are involved.

Valves consist of a cylindrical reinforced sleeve of natural or synthetic rubber assembled within the valve body. Closure is achieved by applying pressure, usually compressed air, that squeezes the sleeve into a flat configuration made possible by the pattern of the reinforcement. This ensures the valve shuts tight.

Standard sleeves are of natural rubber with Neoprene or food grade rubber for hygienic applications.
