Chip sense May 1st 2006 Monitran's vibration sensors are being used by many producers of the UK's favourite food - the chip - to monitor the vibration levels of their vibratory conveyors. A proactive vibration level monitoring programme usually starts with a hand held vibration measuring instrument. Vibration readings from points on each feeder are taken and used as reference levels, from which any changes over a period of time can be observed.
To safely monitor all the vibratory feeders on a continuous basis requires individual vibration sensors at each monitoring point.
This multi-point method means that continuous readings from all sensors are taken, allowing more control over any faults that occur.
