Laser photocells in steel housing
January 1st 2008

The latest version of laser sensors in a standard M18 housing is now available from ifm electronic. Equipped with safe class 2 lasers these second generation sensors will detect objects as small as 0.5 mm across, and the through-beam type will see as far as 60m. With a visible light spot and the new pushbutton setting methods the sensitivity and function can be set quickly. The range covers powerful through-beam systems, retroflective types and backgroundsuppressed diffuse to suit demanding applications often found in automated assembly. All ifm electronic's new M18 sensors, laser and standard, feature robust stainless-steel housing, standard M12 connector. Accessories are available to help fit, align and protect the sensors.
