Photoelectric sensors
July 1st 2006

Under the banner Connect 3, Sick (UK) is launching a range of photoelectric sensors its first 'third-generation' products.

The new sensors are said to offer enhanced levels of performance and functionality. Primary benefits claimedinclude enhanced robustness, IP67-rated protection, greater precision and improved intelligence. By incorporating these features across three different sensor variants, Sick (UK) can offer solutions for most major manufacturing applications.

The range is said to be more tolerant to environmental conditions and the various external stumuli that would otherwise prevent other sensors from working to their optimum capabilities. In operation, the new models are said to be tolerant to EMC and optical distractions. They have an operating temperature range of between -40 and 60C and are resilient to detergents and lubricants.

There are three sensor variants within the Connect 3 range and each can be quickly connected to control networks.
