September 1st 2007 The O5G is the latest addition to
the O5 family of photocells to be
launched by ifm electronic.
Designed for reliable detection of
clear glass and plastics, the O5G is
sensitive enough even to pick up
smoke, so the thinnest of plastic
films pose no problems. The
O5G500 is a retro-reflective sensor
with polarisation filter. Despite its
compact dimensions of 18.2 x 56 x
46.8 mm the O5G can achieve a
range of up to 1.500mm. The
automatic switch point adjustment
ensures reliable operation in case
of gradual soiling as it occurs in
normal industrial environments.
The system can be set to the
corresponding application via the
teach mode. Even clear-glass
