High temperature
March 1st 2007 Techne used this year's MTEC exhibition to show the latest addition to its range of portable temperature calibrators. A high temperature version with a top temperature of 1200°C, Tecal 1200 is a dry-block model that is said to offer very accurate thermal calibration facilities for a variety of thermocouples and other temperature-related devices from 150 to 1200°C. It is convenient and simple to use both on site and in a laboratory. Its heating system is designed to ensure optimum uniformity and rapid heating rates, and the isothermal block assembly is machined from a special incolloy alloy that gives a high level of thermal conductivity and resists high-temperature oxidation.
