In the bank July 1st 2006 Power support company, Merlin Power Management, has expanded its range of critical power services by introducing load bank testing. The company has invested in the very latest 1MW resistive load bank which will enable it to test generators and other loads up to 1.25MVA for extended periods.
Using a load bank allows a standby power system to be tested under various simulated load conditions to verify its overall reliability and ability to perform in an emergency power situation. It identifies potential weaknesses under controlled conditions thereby ensuring all the components within a system will work together and perform as intended when called upon to support a critical load.
