Lead time slashed for test reports

Preparation and delivery of typeapproval test reports and certificates have been slashed to 48h by compliance solutions provider TÜV Product Service following a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Bath University.

The partnership programme has realigned the company's core business processes, splitting the workflow to meet the disparate needs of customers in the aerospace, defence and telecommunications markets.

David Wilson, TÜV director, comments "By eliminating processes that add no value, using the latest technology and changing the way engineers do their work, we have seen dramatic improvements, which we have passed on to our customers through lower prices and shorter lead times." TÜV also offers consultancy services, that complement the testing service and can save customers additional time in completing their test programmes.
