New opacity monitor released September 1st 2007 Dynoptic Systems has announced
the release of the DSL 1000
opacity monitor, replacing the SM
200. A key feature of the DSL 1000
is the signal processing being
performed in the sensors rather
than a control unit.
Data export is via an RS485
serial link to an operator interface
located up to 1km away from the
sensors, the use of digital
communications reducing the
possibility of electro-magnetic
interference. The Operator interface
offers analogue and relay outputs
plus the ability to re-export data in
a number of digital formats.
The DSL 1000 is designed for
use on small to medium sized
combustion processes such as
package boilers as well as dust
collectors and precipitators.
It is designed to have inherently
low maintenance requirements with
the ability to effect repairs in the
field simply and inexpensively. |
