PAT saves lives
January 1st 2007

By having a structured approach to inspection and testing, often by an outside contractor, faults can be found prior to an accident, possibly fatal, occurring. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is not a legal requirement, but employers have a duty of care towards their employees. Following the PAT route is a way of showing due diligence and protecting those at risk. Personnel carrying out the inspection and testing should have a qualification, such as the City and Guilds 2377 examination.

Arthur's Electrical Testing meets the requirements for PAT inspection testing in compliance with codes of practice published by the IET (formerly the IEE).
