Vibration monitoring in hazardous areas
September 1st 2006

Emerson Process Management has made vibration monitoring of rotating equipment possible in the hazardous areas of chemical and petrochemical process plants and refineries. Two new safety-rated versions of the CSI 2130 Machinery Health Analyser are available for evaluating the condition of a broad range of equipment types in hazardous work areas.

Both the new single and dual channel analysers comply with international safety standards established by Factory Mutual (FM), Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and the European (ATEX) standard.

The safety-certified versions retain all functions of the machinery health analysers commonly operating in other areas. They are capable of gathering large amounts of data and reducing it into accurate diagnostics and actionable information. Results include improved process availability, increased productivity, and reduced-equipment cost of ownership.
