Megatech has announced the availability of a new low-cost, lightweight and portable image camera. The PTI-180 is suitable for preventative work, predictive maintenance, machine diagnostic and detecting abnormalities in a variety of manufacturing applications.The hand held unit easily adapts to different applications without the need to buy expensive specialised units.

The camera records visually the corresponding image by using the laser pointer which enables easy association with the thermal image and the physical target. Powerful analysis tools and report generation software are provided, and a removal SD card permits up to 2GB of memory storage.

Featuring a 160 x 120 UFPA detector it provides real-time imaging at 60 frames a second.
