Leakage problem solved for bakery January 1st 2007 Micro leakage in the evaporator coil of a Foster dough retarder at Earl's Bakery at Sidley in Bexhill on Sea has been sealed and eliminated with Primalec Super Seal ACR. Refrigeration engineer Mike Laycock of Blue Star Refrigeration in Bexhill had unsuccessfully used a sniffer and other methods before he decided to give Super Seal ACR a try. He says "I had problems with putting the dye up to the system because the coil is hidden. So I tried Super Seal ACR in March, and fixed the problem in an hour. Once you've done the job with Super Seal it's quite straightforward." The treatment cost Earl's less than £100, including follow-up visits to check that no leakage had recurred. Since fixing the retarder, Mike Laycock has used Super Seal ACR to eliminate other elusive small leaks of R49 from an under- unit refrigerator and from a display cabinet in the bakery shop. The product is said to be compatible with all refrigerants and oils and flows freely through the system without affecting valve cores, driers, compressors or other components. Each pack of Super Seal ACR is supplied with a disposable charging hose and easy-to-follow instructions. More articles from Primalec: |
