New air-con unit protects hi-tec facilities

Developed primarily for environmental control and protection of hi-tech facilities and other installations with stringent standards, the new Himod S precision air conditioning range is manufactured by Liebert Hiross and available from Emerson Network Power.

The range is said to set new standards in precision control of environmental conditions for the most demanding specialist applications, particularly in terms of efficiency, noise levels and footprint.

Cooling capacities of between 4 and 30kW are offered and will provide considerable flexibility in terms of architecture and component options, thereby optimising performance whatever the system specification.

Use of advanced fan design, evaporating coils with optimised circuits and compliant scroll compressors have made it possible to increase the systems overall efficiency and obtain low energy consumption levels.

Himod S comes in a wide range of cooling versions DX air cooled, water cooled (with integrated freecooling allowing power input savings whenever the outdoor temperature is 5C below the indoor return temperature), chilled water and dual fluid.
