Site safety March 1st 2005 Portakabin’s FireSafe building meets the joint codes of practice, a series of measures drawn up by a group of organisations to ensure that work on a construction site is carried out under the highest standards of fire safety.
The building has a low-level lifting feature that fulfils HSE guidelines to avoid working at height using four low-level lifting points. In addition to the building’s high level of thermal efficiency, steel walls allow items such as fire extinguishers and coat hooks to be fixed to the wall using magnets without any damage.
Walls are wipe-clean and floors are covered with easy-clean vinyl.
Extractor fans, with fire-safe vents, help ensure a fresh environment.
Other features include a window guard system and high security steel doors to protect against theft and vandalism. Pyro-shield glazing is said to ensure excellent fire safety. |
