Makes a clean sweep
May 1st 2007

Kent-based shot blasting and painting company, Beever, has found an alternative to the labour intensive chore of sweeping its three shot blasting chambers – it uses Broadwood International's SweepEx modular broom.

Now, instead of manually sweeping three 20m long, 8m wide chambers twice a day, the SweepEx is attached to a forklift in moments and floors are fully swept in just a quarter of the time.

The device generates minimal dust, thereby protecting the operator, machinery and the environment. Nearby workers and vehicles are safe when the SweepEx is used as no debris is thrown around during operation.

Of compact design, the attachment allows powerful sweeping action both forwards and backwards to achieve economical sweeping of large areas. Broom heads and mounting hardware are made from industrial strength steel, with heavy duty powder coat finish.
