Dry ice clean
July 1st 2008

Many components and production tools are cleaned using frozen carbon dioxide pellets. The process is similar to traditional blast cleaning except that solid CO2 goes away as gas at temperatures above -78.6°C, so there is no possibility of cleaning media remaining on the object being cleaned or in the work area. There is no need for post-clean washing, rinsing or drying.

Icevent Technology International says cryogenic cleaning is as effective as most abrasives and Triventek dry ice production equipment is available to provide fresh dry ice on tap.
