For example, a large fuel distribution
company operating multiple sites
across Ireland from one central office,
faced the challenge of removing
rainwater from bund areas
surrounding tank farms. Removal
proved costly as disposal rates were
based on hazardous waste.

supplied Bund Water Control Units
to six of the most affected sites. Units
are able to constantly monitor rainwater
collected within the bund,
automatically pumping it out to the
on-site interceptor as levels rise. The
system also has in-built oil detection
technology that shuts down the
pumping operation and sends an
alarm to an authorised person should
there be a tank failure or a spill.

mind that its remote depots are safe
