Creating a cleanroom January 1st 2010 A cleanroom partitioning public safety."
system (similar to the one
pictured) has been used to
create a cleanroom complex
for semiconductor maker,
Semefab (Scotland) in
Glenrothes. Installation
specialist Scotsolve used
Troax's Toledo system to
construct the complex which
is used for MEMS processing.
The complex is divided
into five units. Each two-room
unit consists of a 'service
chase' where heavy working
parts of the production
equipment are located, linked
to the cleanroom. Rooms are
segregated and sealed off by a
dividing wall (also constructed
from Toledo), with production
equipment protruding
through the wall into the
cleanroom where the fascia is
located; precision cut
partitioning meets the
outline of the equipment to
create a complete seal.
Fire-rated doors with
double-glazed panels from
Troax's Excalibur range have
been installed at intervals
along a 20m long corridor to
comply with fire regulations. More articles from Troax (UK) Limited: |
