New industrial testing facility

In order to improve capability and scope of service, Intertek has invested in and commissioned a new industrial testing facility at its site in Leatherhead.

The facility has been designed to increase technical capability, and the physical size, volume and complexity of equipment that can be tested.

Test bays with remote test operation,enabling explosion-proof testing to be conducted for equipment in potentially hazardous environments, ranging from small electrical/electronic controls to complete machines such as pump sets and large flame arrestors are offered.

Intertek Testing and Certification is a UK appointed Notified Body for all aspects of industrial related EC directives, including ATEX, Machinery, LVD and EMC.

Complemented by the recent acquisition of large scale vibration and environmental equipment, and software risk based evaluation services, this new facility enables Intertek to offer the complete range of Industrial Product testing and Certification to industrial equipment manufacturers.
