Time Saving May 1st 2006 A local authority has saved both time and money by using Dyno- Rod's in2 no-dig pipe replacement service to replace sewerage pipes.
Replacement of 7m of 4in dia pitch fibre pipe was required as the pipe had collapsed. Traditionally local authorities have used contractors to provide a 'cured-inplace' replacement system. While this offers versatility, the installation process is dependent on the precision applied by the installation crew. CIPPs also use chemicals that are potentially dangerous.
Dyno-Rod's new system allows a drain to be replaced with a durable, factory-produced plastic pipe without the need for excavation. Installation of the in2 pipe took just 1h; the entire job took 2h. Dyno-Rod says the CIPP process would have taken 6h.
