Cable ladder

A new headquarters for the Health and Safety Executive in Bootle has been fitted with 10 000m of Greenings’ cable ladder and tray.

Installed in all floors and the basement, it will carry the building’s power cables from the main distribution board to all electrical services, such as socked outlets and lighting, as well as fire and security systems. Some Cat 6 data cable is also carried for the building’s IT equipment.

The products are RM-50 heavyduty return-flange, galvanised cable tray (representing about 80% of the total), with the remainder made up of HDL-125 heavy-duty cable ladder in 150, 450 and 750mm widths, plus related couplers and accessories. Most of the equipment is installed in the ceiling voids, but some is under the floor.
