Out-of-hours installation November 1st 2005 Honda's development of a new diesel engine necessitated refurbishment of the 7000m2 production area floors at its engine plant in order to create a cleaner environment than was needed for petrol engines.
Respol, one of three contractors tendering for the work, won the contract partly because of its 20 year association with Honda and also because it agreed to complete the work entirely at weekends to minimise impact on production.
After preparing the surface, primer EP550 was applied and this was followed by trowel application of Reeflor EL002SF in grey with blue gangways and yellow lines.
The Reeflor system is covered by a 10-year performance guarantee that, the company says, indicates its hardwearing characteristics and long term appearance.
Commenting on the finished floor, David Procter, Honda engineer, says "After 20 years, we know we can rely on Respol to exceed our expectations. The company always provides a high quality flooring service and goes one step further than most, providing us with the best, most cost effective solution. "From director level to floor layer, the staff are very helpful and have on many occasions worked outside their contractual requirements to help us." |
