Ready-mixed adhesive
July 1st 2008 Chemique Adhesives and
Sealants reports that a large
number of access flooring installers
are using the one-component
pedestal adhesive, Polyped1.
The moisture-curing adhesive
contains no VOCs and is said to
offer a quicker alternative to
existing Polyped adhesive
products.
The pedestal adhesive has
proved popular due to its ability to
form a strong, flexible bond that
provides good adhesion of metal
substrates to concrete floors.
The adhesive comes ready
mixed, allowing installers to use it
straight from the bucket.
It is suitable for repair and
refurbishment requirements and
the entire bucket need not be used
at one time. If tightly sealed, it can
be stored and used as needed.

technical manager, comments "All
of our Polyped products have been
tested using the T42 'swinging
bag' test and comply with the PSA
requirements of T15 'pedestal
