Tough base for cabs

Staffordshire has been
extended and the new
industrial floor surface
supplied by Sika.
The 2500m2 floor area
needed to be durable
enough to withstand
continuous heavy industrial
use on a daily basis.
A dry shake flooring
system – Sikafloor
MetalTop – was specified
and installed by Seamless
Floors of Rochdale. The
MetalTop material is a blend
of fine particles of metal
alloys, cement, pigment
and aggregates that is
sprinkled onto the surface
of fresh concrete floor slabs.
This fuses with the wet
concrete when power
floated, creating a surface
that Sika says is 20 times
more abrasion resistant
than regular concrete. The
surface provides anti-static
properties, is dust-free, and
resistant to oils, chemicals
and solvents. A traction
control treatment enhances
