Transformed from bland to active May 1st 2007 Gripple, a manufacturer of
wire-joining and tension
devices, has invested in a
durable, functional floor for
its Sheffield site.
Flowcrete's Flowshield
SL, in pastel blue, has been
installed in production
areas, with work zones, line
markings and walkways
applied in red. The result is
a floor that is scratch- and
impact-resistant, and easy
to clean and maintain.
Les Cooper, production
director, (left of picture)
says "The floor has had a
transformational effect. The
design in particular has
taken the floor from being
something that is bland into
something more active.
"It has been designed to
identify the layout of the
factory, playing a part in
keeping things in organised
sections and leaving
gangways clear. We take
health and safety very
seriously and the policy is
autominous, if people see
something that needs
attending to, they do it
themselves. The floor helps
to make that happen." More articles from Flowcrete Systems Ltd: |
