No more static September 1st 2008 Problems with static electricity and
paper distortion at Statex Colour
Print in Newcastle-upon-Tyne have
been resolved following installation
of a Draabe TurboFog
humidification system from Walter
Meier, backed by the company's
full service concept.
Statex has invested heavily in
the latest technologies, including
10 Heidelberg colour printing
presses and was keen to ensure
stable production conditions.
A major advantage to Statex of
installing the TurboFog system is that
effective humidity control is achieved
with low energy consumption. It does
not use energy to heat water, nor
does it use compressed air to create
a spray. Instead, the central HighPur
high-pressure system uses pulsation
pressure to produce ultra-fine
atomising at humidifier heads. The
fine mist evaporates quickly into the
air to increase humidity, as well as
providing some free cooling of the air. More articles from Walter Meier (Climate UK) Ltd: |
