Staff welcome cool breeze
September 1st 2006

A visit to Clean Air Group's stand at MACH2004 by Dormer Tools' managing director has resulted in the ongoing installation of Breezair evaporative coolers at the company's large production facility in Nottinghamshire.

So far, seven out of a total of 22 Breezair coolers have been fitted.

They are mounted on the roof of the production hall to provide cooling throughout the facility.

Prior to installation of the Breezair system, summer temperatures in the heat treatment part of the facility, reached in excess of 30, especially around furnaces, despite the installation of roof vents and fresh air fans.

Martin Monaghan, project engineer at Dormer Tools, comments "The Breezair system has reduced temperatures by around 8 to 10C in the heat treatment plant which has made a tremendous difference to our workforce. Now, the rest of the workers are asking when their area can be fitted with Breezair."

The coolers are switched on in the spring and turned off in the autumn.

An aerodynamic fan provides a constant, even flow of air over the pads to provide a welcome cool breeze with minimal noise and low energy consumption.
