Hörmann UK, the German owned industrial door and loading bay manufacturer, has made a commitment to environmental practices by appointing carbon and sustainability consultancy dcarbon8. "It is our job to assist companies to identify the areas of their overall operations where their carbon footprint can be reduced," says dcarbon8 chairman Guy Battle. Developing environmental business alliances from supplier to consumer, the aim is to achieve Plant Positive status, whereby the company is positioned to actively contribute to reducing global warming.

"The days when green solutions were seen as an added extra are over. They are now regarded as integral", says Alan Jenkins, commercial director of Hormann's industrial division.
