Temporary use
November 1st 2006

When Veolia Environmental Services needed a temporary building to handle bulky items of civic amenity waste and road sweepings, Rubb Buildings came up with a solution.

It provided a BVE type building, measuring 30 by 30m with 9.5m high sidewalls and five 4m wide by 5m high roller shutter doors, allowing delivery and removal of material simultaneously.

A 600mm concrete upstand provides anchorage and a white, semi-translucent roof fabric provides a bright interior and helps cut energy costs as the need for artificial lighting is reduced in daytime. The heat reflectivity of the roof helps keep the building cool.
