Time saving November 1st 2005 Concorde Glass has halved the time it takes to unload incoming containers since installing a ramp from Thorworld Industries. Fitted with a dock leveller, it has transferred unloading into a oneman job and led to improvements in working conditions.
The ramp is 6m long by 2m wide and has a 6t capacity. It consists of three sections, with a 2m long counterbalanced ramp and a 2m long hinged dock leveller.
Paul Drummond of Concorde Glass, says "It used to take 40min to unload a container using the outside ramp and two forklifts.
Containers are now unloaded in half the time using a single forklift." More articles from Thorworld Industries: |
