An end to sour odours September 1st 2004 Enviro-Fresh from a company of the same name has put an end to the sour odour from the mens’ urinals at the Institute of Directors in London’s Pall Mall.
The enzyme-based device acts on areas that harbour the combination of limescale and uric acid deposits where bacteria breed. A plastic Sani-Sleeve is inserted into the waste outlet of the urinal and extends into the water in the trap. It is topped by the Enviro-Fresh cap with single de-odourising block containing enzymes that multiply as long as there is organic matter to feed them, plus water-softening agents to prevent limescale.
The periodic enzyme release into pipework works best at just a few flushes per day and this produces significant savings on water use as well as lower maintenance costs. Cap, block and sleeve are changed every three months. More articles from Enviro-Fresh Limited: |
