Anti-static floor

An anti-static flooring system has been installed by 4m flooring uk across 4000m2 of the maintenance zone at RAF Cottesmore. The system dissipates any static charge and withstands both the aircraft fluid Skydrol and the heavy demands of an airbed movement system that is used by the RAF to manoeuvre aircraft at the site. Flowcrete Flowshield AS, an anti-static self-smoothing epoxy in mid-grey was chosen for the project. It adheres to BS2050, has a high level of chemical resistance and gives a hard wearing surface. Flowcrete Flowcoat SF41, an easy clean, anti-slip epoxy coating was installed along walkways and fire routes, and the floor system was finished with yellow demarcation lines.
