Appointed as Weima's sole UK distributor, Fercell Engineering has opened a shredding and briquetting demonstration and test facility at its Kent factory.

The company's Mark Fletcher explains "Many organisations have considered using shredders but don't know where to start. Our facility lets them test a waste sample and see the practical benefits and cost savings to them.

"One customer used to pay for hiring and removing several skips each month. Now, a farmer removes his shredded waste free and uses it as bedding for his livestock. That shredder paid for itsel in just 12 months."
