Safe guardrailing featuring Kee Klamp fittings has been installed at the Waterdale Waste Disposal Site near St Albans to ensure site safety and security for the public.

The Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) has 13 high-level platforms, from where waste can be deposited into open topped containers below.

The Kee Klamp fittings were chosen for their versatility, ease of assembly and structural strength.

The edge guardrailing around each platform is connected using the fittings.

Finished in dark green powder coat, and complete with vertical in-fill bars, the guardrailing not only helps to clearly define the recycling bays, but is necessary to stop people inadvertently slipping, tripping or falling into the skip areas.

The fittings have also been used for the staircase guardrailing that provides access at either end of the bays from the ground to the upper level.
