Fan package
September 1st 2004

Recupovent from Thermal Technology is a clever package that incorporates supply and exhaust air fans, together with an aluminium plate recuperator.

Its operating principle is simple.

Air is drawn from the room by the exhaust air fan and passes through a recuperator before going outside.

Similarly, fresh air is drawn from outside by the supply fan, passes through the recuperator where it becomes heated, and is then discharged into the room.

The amount of heat recovered can be as high as 70%, but more normally 55 to 65% is recovered.

Benefits include energy efficiency and, as the unit supplies as much air as it extracts, it does not create draughts in other rooms.

A range of units are available to handle between 50 and 2000L/s.
