Following its acquisition of the UK distributorship for XPR, Videx Security has introduced a new range of EX series keypads. These are designed for a range of access control applications that include the control of doors, barriers, gates, alarm systems, and lighting.

All EX keypads are IP65 rated, stand-alone units that can be networked using a bi-directional, three-wire CODIX bus. Pads can be individually built to meet specific application requirements using a combination of different housings, metal or polycarbonate keys, flush or surface mounts, and all have permanent backlighting.

EX series keypads operate from a 12-24V AC/DC supply and have IP65 ingress protection rating. They accept 99 user codes and provide a 30sec keypad lock-out after eight invalid codes are entered.

The EX5P unit combines code and proximity access systems.
