Be prepared for a harsh winter
September 1st 2005 Summer may still be fresh in the mind, but Broadwood International is already preparing for winter. It has expanded its SnowEx salt and sand spreader range with the introduction of the V-Maxx 850.
Designed for spreading bulk salt and sand for snow and ice control, the 1.52m3 capacity, bed-mounted spreader is suitable for use on public highways and private roads.
The hopper is constructed of a one-piece heavy duty polyethylene to eliminate corrosion and the device is said to be 60% lighter than comparable steel units. This enables the vehicle payload to be substantially increased and allows easier removal and installation.
The unit can be quickly changed for spreading salt or sand due to an adjustable V salt/sand baffle and attached vibrator that enable it to handle non-free-flowing material such as salt/sand mix, bulk salt or moist material.
It is powered by a high torque, semi-sealed, continuous duty industrial 12V DC motor. More articles from Broadwood International: |
