Comfort and control for serviced offices March 1st 2004 Air conditioning from Sanyo is providing a comfortable working environment for occupants of offices in Southbridge House in Croydon.
Arranged on three floors, the building provides 20 cellular offices, meeting room, lounge, reception and communications room.
Energy efficiency was a key concern. Tenants often push down the temperature and leave it on, pushing up costs. Sanyo provided a solution that allows the set temperature control band to be reduced on the remote controllers. By setting it at a realistic 20 to 24C, the system was no longer open to abuse and because it is simply a control set up it is easily reversed and comes at no extra cost.
Sanyos design team knew that a combination of split systems and small multi-split systems would not be practical. Instead, it settled on three Eco-Multi systems, one for every floor, each feeding up to nine four-way cassette units, and a separate high wall split system for the comms room.
The outdoor unit is believed to be the smallest on the market, while the solenoid valve kit needs no power supply of its own. Indoor units are common through the 2-Pipe, 3-Pipe and split ranges, giving visual consistency and enabling a common controls package to be used throughout. All indoor units for Southbridge house have their own independent remote controllers. More articles from Sanyo Air Conditioners Europe: |
