Rhodia’s Isceon refrigerants site in Avonmouth has improved staff use and night emergency cover since installing Interalia’s XMU+ multi-functional auto attendant and call processing system.

Sold by the BT VMS FeatureNet team through the BT ICT Solution Partners Programme, Rhodia uses the eight-port system for auto attendant, call steering, ACD announcements, call processing and basic IVR functionality.

During work hours, the XMU+ answers calls and directs them to the front desk secretary. When the front desk is closed the XMU+ date and time software directs calls to the Gatehouse that is manned until 6.00pm. During the evening six options are offered, routing calls to various shift managers or other manufacturing plants.

The emergency option routes the call to an extension and then to a manager’s mobile. If the call is not answered, the call is redirected to a second manager’s phone and then to a site phone extension.

This loop is repeated until the call is answered.
