Offering fast payback through low running costs September 1st 2005 Two new condensing water heaters have been introduced by A.O. Smith to cater for larger demands. The new additions to the Cyclone BFC range have 81.9 and 99.8kW inputs and efficiency rates to 96%.
The storage-type water heaters are said to offer reduced payback through lower running costs. The company says that as the fully condensing Cyclone BFC is so efficient, it can provide the same recovery rate as larger water heaters. A choice of vertical or horizontal concentric flue kits to 15m provide flexibility in siting; the parallel flue systems can be constructed with lengths to 100m.
At the heart of the system is a Dynamix downfiring pre-mix burner that achieves high thermal efficiency. All units come with Thermo-Control to combat the risk of legionella. An optional maintenance programme enables the temperature to be set to run a cycle at 80°C to destroy any Legionella bacteria. More articles from A O Smith Water Heaters: |
