Oil storage
March 1st 2005

Every year more than 5000 oil incidents are reported to the Environment Agency, equating to 14 every day. To help reduce and regulate this area of potential pollution, The Oil Storage Regulations were introduced and have been phased in since March 2002. The final stage, covering all oil containers of 200L or greater, comes into effect on 1st September 2005.
