Innovate Logistics has implemented a water conservation initiative for its cold stores; rainwater is used to cool all refrigerated systems.

In the design phase of each site, architects calculate the amount of water that will accumulate on the roof of the warehouse. Rather than wasting this water, Innovate collects and re-uses it.

Peter Osborne, MD, comments "Innovate has always considered environmentally conscious approaches to what we do. Water conservation is a key part of our strategy. The nature and scale of our business requires hundreds of litres of water to be processed by our equipment. By obtaining that from rainwater, we are saving the natural resources of the local communities where we are based."
