Meterman has introduced a handy, low-cost, pocket size phase sequence and motor rotation tester that, it says, is particularly useful following the 2004 amendments to BS 7671:2001 changing the core colours of new 3-phase cables.

Suitable for use when installing and servicing three phase installations and motors, the CAT III 600V rated tester provides three functions in one unit.

The EPM3 enables open phase checking, identification of 3-phase sequence, and determines motor rotation direction while unpowered.

Bright LEDs clearly indicate the result of each test and provide indication of a low battery.

The tester has been independently certified by TUV and CSA and comes with a one-year ‘no-hassle’ warranty.
